About the Course
This is a simple rectangular shaped course that has a
great view for spectators watching the runners coming
up Wall from about 10th and Wall all the way to the
finish line. Much of the course is pretty flat, although
there is a downhill section on Joplin Street from about
23rd to 26th street. That downhill becomes a noticeable
incline from 26th and Wall up to 23rd and Wall.
The 5k will begin at 6:40 a.m. Officially, traffic control for the 5k course will end after one hour. Once traffic control ceases, participants should proceed at their own risk. Volunteers will continue to monitor participants’ progress along the course.
The course has been certified by USA Track & Field (USATF)
*No Chip, No Time: The chips must be returned after crossing the finish line. Failure to return the chip will result in the loss of standings or possible awards. There will be a $25 charge for all lost or non-returned chips.
