VOLUNTEERS
"Awesome volunteers and very friendly. All intersections and streets marked well and staffed well. Cold towels were the best. The mist fan was great. Refreshments and food great. Ice bath was great. No complaints at all. I am from Springfield and Bass Pro Marathon needs to take some lessons from Boomtown!! Great job!!"

This race would not be possible without all of our amazing volunteers. Be sure to tell them thank you while you are out there. Wait a second, you should be at race pace, not conversation pace. Instead, give them a high-five, thumbs up, wave or tip of the good ol' running cap.

So, are you thinking about volunteering? Eh, come on, you know you are! If you are on the injured list (we're sorry by the way), have family or friends running, enjoy a good time, want to earn some cash for the best water station or any other reason, please consider volunteering for Joplin Memorial Run. We have opportunities before, during and after the race, so we can accommodate anyone's busy schedule.
